Ilaria Capua’s tour begins April 27, 2023 in Perugia
Science, health and the environment take to the stage in the new theatrical project stemming from Ilaria Capua’s latest book on Circular Health entitled “The Words of Circular Health”. In a multi-stop tour across Italy’s main cities. Ilaria Capua will be accompanied by a different actor or actress to co-narrate this journey. An engaging and exciting event with a scenic reading designed to bring attention to the intimate relationship between the health of the planet and that of all its inhabitants. Interlaced with an captivating dialogue, including voices and images, which will deliver accessible explanations to the interconnections there are between the health of our oceans and seas, of the air we breathe, of produce of land including animals and plants in an environment which is undergoing extreme weather events and rising temperatures. Topics such as spillover events, emerging pathogens and antimicrobial resistance are exemplified through entertaining stories recalling achievements of historical game changing individuals.
